How to pack?

Flat-Pack Furniture Packing Instructions

Flat-pack furniture is a popular choice for international transport due to its compact size and convenient storage. However, despite its space-saving design, it is still susceptible to damage during shipping – especially if not properly protected. For this reason, Speedpack only accepts flat-pack furniture for transport if it is packed in the manufacturer’s original packaging.

Why do we require original manufacturer packaging?

  • Manufacturer packaging provides appropriate protection for furniture panels and assembly components.
  • It usually includes corner protectors, foam inserts, cardboard dividers, and durable film or heavy-duty cardboard.
  • Factory packaging minimizes the risk of internal shifting and protects the contents from moisture, dust, and crushing.

What does proper packaging include?

  • Furniture must be packed in original, undamaged boxes from the manufacturer.
  • All components (panels, screws, accessories) must be complete and securely placed in their respective compartments.
  • The box should be tightly sealed with packing tape and clearly labeled.
  • Packaging must not be reused, altered, or shortened from its original state.

What do we NOT accept?

  • Furniture packed in non-original or substitute cardboard boxes.
  • Furniture panels wrapped only in stretch film or bubble wrap without corner protection.
  • Loosely packed sets with elements that can move around inside.
  • Used, assembled furniture that lacks complete factory protection.

Summary
