How to pack?

Mattress Packing Instructions

Transporting a mattress requires proper preparation, as these are large, flexible, and sensitive items that can be easily damaged or contaminated. Improper packing may result in deformation, stains, or tears during loading, unloading, or transit.
To ensure your mattress arrives safely, please follow the guidelines below.

Proper Mattress Packing Guidelines

1. The mattress must be clean and dry

  • Do not send wet or dirty mattresses.
  • Make sure your mattress is free from moisture and stains that could damage other shipments or cause unpleasant odors.

2. Protective film is essential

  • Wrap the mattress in at least three thick layers of stretch film.
  • If you have the original protective bag from the manufacturer, use it along with the stretch wrap.
  • Bubble wrap may also be used as an extra protective layer, especially around the corners.

3. Protect the corners and edges

  • The most vulnerable areas are the corners and long edges.
  • Use foam pads, cardboard, or extra layers of bubble wrap to cover these areas.
  • Secure everything tightly with strong packing tape.

4. Do not bend the mattress

  • Never fold a mattress in half – this can cause permanent structural damage, especially if it contains springs.
  • Mattresses must be transported flat or upright, always fully extended.

5. Secure with tape and label clearly

  • After wrapping with stretch film and bubble wrap, use wide packing tape to prevent the layers from shifting.
  • Label the shipment with: β€œCAUTION – MATTRESS – DO NOT FOLD” and β€œFRAGILE”.

What Not To Do

– Do not ship an unpacked mattress.
– Do not use garbage bags, thin fabric covers, or homemade wrappings.
– Avoid packaging that leaves parts of the mattress exposed to moisture.
– Do not roll or fold traditional mattresses that are not designed for such compression.
– Never stick address labels directly onto the mattress fabric.
